We are studying Ancient Greece in my World History Advanced class and today we learned about the Parthenon in Athens, Greece. The temple was built on a hill called an Acropolis. Inside was a pure gold statue of Athena, goddess of war, wisdom, and Athens. It was melted down because the country needed money and has been recreated in Nashville, Tennessee. If you want to fly here, just look for a city called Athens.
