FS2004 Sikorsky JRS-1 US Navy VJ-1 Squadron 1-J-2. Sikorsky twin-engine amphibian built in 1937. Military version of S-43. Used developed by U.S. Navy and Marines for utility transport, photography, target towing. JRS-1s were based at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii in December 1941. Top speed over 190 mph. Can take off in 900 feet, in 15 seconds. Range 1200 miles at cruising speed of 170 mph, roughly the distance from Hawaii to Midway Island. Extended range fuel tanks replace some passenger capacity. FSDS3.5 model with virtual cockpit, radio operator compartment, passenger cabin, sliding side doors and aerial camera position aft. developed by George Diemer.
