Fs2004 scenery-hancock county-bar harbor airport (kbhb) serves bar harbor and hancock county and is owned by hancock county. The airport has more than one runway. The longest is a paved runway extending 5200 feet. The facility is at an elevation of 84 feet at a distance of about 8 miles from bar harbor. The airport is conveniently located half way between the city of ellsworth and the town of bar harbor. Overlooking mount desert narrows, frenchman bay and mount desert island with the prominence of cadillac mountain in the background, the airport make available spectacular views.
