Fs2004 scenery-on august 29, 1931, new havens new municipal airport was formally dedicated and opened for operation. For over a year workmen have been busily engaged transforming what was once a thickly wooded and swampy area into what can now be classified as one of the leading airports in the country with the most modern equipment of any airport in new england. Tweed-new haven airport (khvn) serves new haven and new haven county and is owned by the city of new haven. The airport has more than one runway. The longest is a paved runway extending 5600 feet. The facility is at an elevation of 14 feet at a distance of about 3 miles from new haven. The scenery requires asdv2. 1, nova, nova gold and novasim textures.
