It was Alejo Williams (CHILE) flying a Blanik glider on December 13, 1964. Without any advice of his attempt he was towed from "Club de planeadores de Santiago" to 600 meters over Santiago Chile and gain enough altitude by soaring the andes mountains and then crossed to Mendoza Argentina.
