Night-lighted passenger windows; animated landing gear, flaps, and spoilers; shining landing lights. 12-sided fuselage and engines, 10-sided wheels. Development of Russia´s second widebody airliner. The Il-96 is comparable in appearance to the Il-86; however, it is a completely new design. It features the newest, powerful, and quieter Aviadvigatel PS-90A engines, a larger wing span, fly by wire control systems, and state of the art avionics.
