Alexandria, VA (March 27, 2002)-- eDimensional, Inc., a leading provider of consumer virtual reality products and accessories including the E-DTM Glasses for the PC is proud to release new support specifically for FS2002 (as well as other flight sims) for the trackIR hands free controller. We’ve had a ton of requests over the last several weeks to optimize the E-D trackIR for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002. The wait is finally over! The E-D trackIR now uses a special plug-in file to give you smooth, natural control of your point of view in virtual cockpit mode just by looking around! Setup is easy, just install the E-D trackIR, click on the MSFS 2002 mode button and open the game.The new software now comes with the eDimensional trackIR and allows users to create a truly realistic flying experience while allowing the user’s hands to remain at the controls, where they should be. Available key mapping mode allows keystrokes to be set to any keys to correspond to functions in the game. A standard configuration would map simple head motions to emulate a number pad or hat switch for point of view (POV) changing. Another configuration would allow for common commands to be issued hands free, such as, changing weapons, communicating with other players, changing modes and side strafing.
Customers and critics are raving about the enhanced interactive and realistic experience that the new E-D trackIR software provides. Mark “Frugal” Bush of Frugalsworld.com says: “For IL2 it rocks bells. It is also great for FS2002 and works really well in Mig Alley too. In IL2 though it is bloody fantastic.
