XP-38N Lightning for FS2002/CFS2 by David C. Copley
v3.2.0
14 Jun 2002
=== FS2002 Installation ===
1. If you have a previous version of XP-38N, remove it by removing its folder from the FS2002's Aircraft folder before installing the new version.
2. Unzip the file XP-38N.zip in FS2002's 'Aircraft' folder. A folder named XP-38N and several sub-folders will be created.
3. The panel uses custom gauges. Copy the *.gau files from the XP-38N\gauges folder to fs2002's gauges folder.
4. Note: After doing the above steps, you will have a file file called xp38n32cfs2.zip in your XP-38N folder. This file contains replacement files for a CFS2 installation. If you do not plan to fly the plane in CFS2 you can delete this file.
=== CFS2 Installation ===
1. Follow steps 1 - 3 from the FS2002 Installation, but unzip the files to CFS2's 'Aircraft' folder and copy gauges to CFS2's gauges folder.
2. Then unzip the file xp38n32cfs2.zip within the XP-38N folder, such that the cfs2-specific files overwrite the fs2002 files.
=== Notes ===
After installation, there will be two visual models contained within the same XP-38N folder. Within in the simulator, two separate varations of XP-38N will be available: metal and black.
FS2002 users: For the first time ever, War Emergency Power (WEP) is now available, thanks to the WEP gauge that you will find on the 2D panel. Note: to engage WEP, you must be at full-throttle.
