Highlands and Islands of Scotland Terrain Mesh Scenery for FS2002

This freeware scenery of the Highlands and Islands of Scotland is a demo of Visual Flight UK and Ireland Terrain Mesh Scenery for FS2002, the best terrain mesh scenery currently available for England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland, designed and tested exclusively with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002.

The demo area is from N57 W5 to N59 W8. This includes Skye, South Uist, Benbecula, North Uist, Harris, Lewis and the mainland coast from Ullapool to the Kyle of Lochalsh.

You can fly between Plockton (UK10), Benbecula (EGPL) and Stornoway (EGPO) within the demo area. A flight plan is included which takes a circular route from Plockton to Stornoway via Benbecula, then back via Ullapool.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

More detailed installation instructions are available in README.htm. Open readme.htm with your browser after extracting the contents of the zip file.

1. Extract the entire contents of the zip file to a folder of your choice. If you are using WinZip (www.winzip.com), make sure "Use folder names" is checked when you extract the files. (Other unzip programs will have a similar option). You should end up with a folder named "ukiedm01" in your chosen destination folder.

2. From the FS2002 menu, choose World, Scenery Library...

3. Click the Add area... button

4. Use the Select scenery directory dialog to find the ukiedm01 folder, then click on it.

5. Click OK.

6. You should now see ukiedm01 at the top of the SCENERY LIBRARY Areas list. If you have any other add-on mesh scenery covering the UK or Ireland, you should disable it now. Northwestern Europe and London are default sceneries, and these should remain Enabled.

7. Click OK to rebuild the scenery library and load the new scenery textures.
