United Airlines Stratocruiser for FS2000
by Dave McQueen
January 11, 2001

This is a new B377 simulation updated from our basic model released in April, 2000. The file is too complex to permit night lighting found in our other B377 releases but I have added textured propellers which I believe enhances the visual model. It also has transparent cockpit windows. Thanks very much to Rob Bennis of the Netherlands for his "tutorial" assistance that provided me the incentive to tackle this complicated transparent window project-- 19 windows in 3 rows. Whew! Enjoy!

This aircraft simulation is the latest upgrade to the Stratocruiser series that Dave McQueen has been making since 1996. It is intended for use with Microsoft's Flight Simulator 2000. It has full moving parts This aircraft simulation took many hundreds of hours of time at the keyboard to coordinate the present state of the project. This sim was made with Abacus' AF99 Aircraft Factory program and Konstantin Kukushkins' Aircraft Animator program. Activating the "O" key will turn on the strobe lights on the wing and fuselage.

A custom made panel with a rear cabin view by Stephan Grille and modified for use with FS2000 by Dave McQueen is available from Dave & Rui's website at:

Instructions as to how to install the panel in your Stratocruiser folder are contained there as well, courtesy of Tom Gibson.

You can also find there a set of Stratocruiser sounds that was included with Claudio Pedrazzini sounds. Thanks Claudio!!
