Tinian 1945
for fs2004 and golden wings 3

What you get!
The scenery covers all main airfields from Saipan (North) to Guam (South), including following US airfields :
- Saipan Isley Field (2 airports) – PGSN and PGSO
- Tinian North Field – (1GNT-2GNT-3GNT-4GNT*)
- Tinian West Field - PGWT
- Guam North Field (Andersen AFB) - PGUA
- Guam Northwest Field - PGUW
- Guam Harmon Field (3 fields) PGUM – PGUH - PGUP
- A fictionous field in homage of the famous VMF-214 (Black Sheeps of Gregory “Papy” Boyington”) on the island of Rota – PGRO. I know, they were in Solomon Island, but it’s quiet to far away from Tinian, so… Just for fun.
- A carrier between Rota and Tinian (must have the Maam Avenger to work) - PGUS

*Instead of PGNT, I split Tinian in 4 fields, so you will see 4 departures at the same time.

A combat zone is still active on Saipan :

Don’t fly to low, or you will get some AA shoots!
And don’t forget to drop your bombs!

Smoke is visible sometime only… you’ll discover it.

Install
BE PATIENT, THERE ARE A LOT OF THINGS TO DOWNLOAD!

First of all, unzip the content of this archive into a temp folder (ie c:\temp\)

Scenery
Add it into FS, as usual. Pay attention to have the LC folder in a lower priority!
In the folder “scenery” you will find to subfolder : world (for the traffic) and Ocen. Copy both as they are into you main scenery folder!
Ocen contains 2 files that are required to remove all taxy signs. I include a backup of the original files.

Effects
For the effects, you must also download bombflak.zip (on www.SurClaro) and put all files (named fx_flack01.fx to fx_flack07.fx) into the effects folder of FS (c:\...\flight simulator 9\effects)

Traffic AI
To get traffic AI, you have to download and install the aircrafts from the excellent scenery of Midway Island : pmdy_ai_j.zip from John Stinstrom (www.SurClaro.com). By the way, get also the scenery (pmdy_j.zip)… It worth it!

You have also to download following aircraft (F4U Corsair) and repaints (a part are for CFS2, but work without problem in FS2004), from www.SurClaro :
- corsair6.zip (you can keep it to fly, it’s an excellent aircraft!)
- f4u1a_he.zip
- f4u1a_kl.zip
- f4u1ardd.zip
- f4u1astk.zip
- f4u1d_13.zip
- f4u1d_31.zip
- f4u1d_48.zip
- f4u1d_51.zip
- f4u1d_fr.zip
- fg1_222.zip

Unzip all archives into a temp folder (ie c:\temp\Corsair) Then copy all texture folders and the model folder into the “AI Corsair F4U” you’ve just moved from this archive to the aircraft folder of FS.

For the B-29 AI, you must download and install following files (www.SurClaro) :
- b29b_912.zip
From this file, we just need one model and the air file. If you want the complete aircraft, you will have to download and install (first) b29b_910.zip. It’s an excellent aircraft!

So, once again, the simplest way is to copy all needed files into the folder “AI B29B” included in this archive :
- model : take from _GY_B-29B folder one model ai : model.B-BTO-AI-light or model.B-BTO-AI and copy the folder into AI B29B, then rename it “model”
- copy the B-29-35-MO_AI.air also into the AI B29B folder
- copy all texture from “common texture” into each texture folder or (to spare some HD space) into the main texture folder of FS.
You will have something like that :

That’s it! Happy landings!
