FS2002 P-51D Mustang "Glamorous Glen III"

The graceful North American P-51D Mustang, recognized by many
authorities as the epitome of fighters of WWII era, outperformed all
other Allied fighters in speed, range, style, and maneuverability
to become established as the principal fighter plane.
This FS2002 model, depicted as the famous "Glamorous Glen III" with
code B6-Y, s/n 414888, 363FS, 357FG, 8AF, renders a graceful enough
and yet powerful streamlines of this excellent wild horse, featuring
moving spinner and propellers, sliding canopy, ailerons, flaps,
radiator flaps, rudder, elevators, landing gears, pop-down landing
light and landing gear covers in smooth animation. Pilot head turns
left/right in sync and proportion with control stick movement. Fuel
tanks on/off by toggling the / key. Tail lamp moves with rudder and
also works on/off with navigation lamp switch. Main landing gear
tires rotate in animation at taxing on ground.
Highly detailed realism ranges from accurately pitched and cuffed
propeller blades, accurately recessed nose and belly air intake
sections, precisely made rear view mirror, meticulously crafted
landing gear struts, finely and precisely made pitot tube, antenna
mast, AN/APS-13 antenna array on vertical tail, fine aileron actuator
covers on wings, to the unprecedented level of accurate details in
cockpit inside including gun sight, control stick, instrument panel
and side panels for virtual cockpit view, authentic pilot figure
with oxygen mask hose half released, bullet-proof headrest plate,
transmission receiver and radio and etc. through adequately
translucent canopy window glass. 16-bit bmp textures successfully
render authentically hand rendered brilliant bare duralumin external
surfaces, with realistic weathering and service stains for even
better realism.
The second of Shigeru's New Higher Quality Mustang series. The former
model "Detroit Miss" has received many preferable feedbacks from
numerous fs enthusiasts who can appreciate fine details and accurate
outline proportions, consequently it has attained the top downloads
among all the Mustang models uploaded so far on SurClaro, just
within only 3 months after its upload. The author hopes you will like
and enjoy this "Glamorous Glen III" as well as the foregoing model.

This is an FS2002 model originally intended for flight amusement on
FS2002 professional edition, which note in advance, while the author
hopes this model will work well also for many FS enthusiasts using other
FS platforms, namely, FS2002 standard edition, FS2000 professional
edition and FS2000 standard edition.
As for use on FS2002 standard edition, the author hopes it works as well
as on FS2002 professional edition, and FS2002 standard edition users
reported the former model "Detroit Miss" flies great also on their
edition, so will this fly great, however, not confirmed since the author
uses FS2002 professional edition, apart from its standard edition.
As for use on the former FS2000 professional edition, note that this
model uses the panel of default Corsair included in FS2002 pro, but
not in FS2000 pro. So, for availability on FS2000, after installation,
open Panel.cfg file in panel folder, and change its panel designation
from alias=f4u1a_corsair\panel into alias=FSFSConv\panel.Recip.fg.1
or alias=c182\panel, then it shows up all right with default c182 panel.
You may use other appropriate panel suitable for this type and available
on SurClaro. If you have a nice panel of your creation and other
incidental elements for P-51D, please feel free to contact the author
for collaboration work for future model releases of this series.
As for FS2000 standard edition, again, not confirmed since the author
used so far FS2000 professional edition, away from its standard edition.
