Douglas DC-3 sounds for FS98 by Andre Kemner

Installation:
Just unzip to the sound folder of your DC-3 Aircraft
----------------------------------------------------

The low and mid RPM sounds were sampled off some program
on the discovery channel and I found the high RPM sound
somewhere on the net, they are all of a reasonably good
quality but a bit too short for nice loops.
I don't know how flaps and gear sound in an actual DC-3 so
they are just a bunch of modified sounds from CFS and FS98.
Everything was stereofiedized.

I added the startup sound just for fun, it doesn't really
work that well.
If you don't like it just edit the sound.cfg file and
remove it (if you don't know how, leave it alone)
It sure would be great If somebody could make a gauge for
startup and shutdown sounds.

Cockpit sounds are basicly the same samples used for outside
only with some mids removed and 100Hz boosted (to simulate
engine vibrations through the fuselage, or in other words just
a nice rumble for your subwoofer).
I've never been inside the cockpit of a DC-3 so I don't actually
know what it should sound like.

I recommend you use these sounds together with the dc-3 panel
by bill rambow and jan visser's moving parts R4Dnats

I've noticed that with some models the pitch seems to be higher
at the same RPM settings, R4Dnats by Jan Visser for instance
sounds higher at 2000 RPM than the standard John Kelley Model at
2000 RPM, I don't know why this is, and it shouldn't be possible
but that's the way it is.

This stuff is freeware, do what you want with it but don't sell it for money.
