DC-10 SOUND V 1.0 for FS5, FS95, FS98, and others

Mike Hanel - November 1998

THANK YOU FOR DOWNLOADING!!!

Short Description:
As you may have notices, this file is 3.9 MB. I apologize for the size, but I compromised size for quality.
This sound was derived from a cabin recording during a show on the History Channel called "Souix City Iowa Crash: The Unflyable Plane". Other sounds include a DC-9 "hum" when you apply max thrust. This gives the feeling of acceleration, epecially if you have earphones/headphones on. I did do much testing with the headphones, and it sounds very nice. I also used two reverse sounds to give the familiar feeling of being "pulled from your seat" when the plane uses it's reverse thrusters. Also, the exterior of the plane contains THREE different sounds combined to give a real life feeling of standing next to a real life aircraft. For an ultimate rush, set the tower position next to the runway and takeoff. You may need to go into "Instant Replay". It's almost as if you were there!!

Known Bugs:
This is the first aircraft sound that I have ever attempted. I finally learned to edit the .cfg file, so I have been busy with this sound package for about a week. With this comes the possiblity of errors in my work. As from right now, I am unaware of any. If you find an error/bug, PLEASE write to me ASAP at:

Installation
I have used the easy installation methods to make it hassle free.
1. Choose an aircraft that you want to have this sound package.
EX: Northwest Airlines DC-10
2. Go to that file.
EX: /aircraft/DC_10/

3. Either DELETE or BACKUP your original sound.cfg file. I usually delete it, makes it less confusing.
EX: /aircraft/DC_10/sound/sound.cfg

4. DRAG the sounds from the sound package(the sound package that you just downloaded) and place it in your aircraft's SOUND folder (unless you accidently deleted the folder. If so, just go to "New" and "Folder" and name it "sound".)
EX: /aircraft/DC_10/sound

5. Go into Flight Sim and ENJOY!!!!!!!!!

Final Thoughts
That's about it. I hope you enjoy it!

Once again, thank you for your support in downloading my sounds!!!!!

Fine Print
THIS SOUND PACKAGE IS STRICTLY FREEWARE. IT MAY NOT BE REPUBLISHED WITHOUT CONSENT OF ME. DON'T TRY TO MAKE MONEY OFF OF IT, OTHERWISE, LEGAL ACTION CAN AND WILL TAKE PLACE.
