-----------HOW TO SETUP YOUR A319-----------

--------------------------------------------

TURN ON WORD WRAP!

First you will obviously create your beautiful textures for the A319 and finalize the texture folder.

1. create the aircraft's folder and the subordinate folders, our naming convention at iFDG is iFDG A319-[variant] Airline (ex. iFDG A319-211 Air Canada)

Our ZIP file naming convention is IFDG_A319_[ICAO Code of Airline] (ex. IFDG_A319_ACA.ZIP)

REMOVE ANY THUMBS.DB FILES IN THE ZIP ARCHIVE

You can of course use your own convention if you wish.

Select the proper FDE for your A319 variant (FDE folder)

Select the proper model for your A319 variant (MODELS folder)

Make sure you include the effects folder

CHANGE THE A319README.TXT TO REFLECT YOUR LIVERY AUTHORSHIP.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. Customizing the aircraft.cfg for your airline (using AIR CANADA as a reference):

Remember that this is only a guide and you are not required to do it this way.

description="The A319 program was launched at the Paris Airshow in June 1993 on the basis of just six orders placed by ILFC late in 1992 and the predicted better prospects of the commercial airliner market, which were certainly realised. The first A319 airline order came from French carrier Air Inter (since merged into Air France), whose order for six was announced in February 1994. Since then Swissair, Air Canada, Lufthansa, Northwest, United, US Airways and British Airways are among the major customers that have ordered more than 500 A319s." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NOTE A:

You will enter the airline's callsign in this line. For Air Canada, the entry is AIR CANADA. For British Airways, the entry is SPEEDBIRD. Go to http://www.airlinecodes.co.uk/ for airline callsigns.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once you've got everything set with your texture, model, FDE files, readme, alias the sounds and panel to the default 737.

TEST TEST TEST! Verify that your aircraft displays correctly in the FS Aircraft Menu, and check your textures on the model. Don't forget to check the night textures as well!

You can then go about packaging your aircraft. Remember that you are not allowed to upload "textures only" packages. Every package uploaded must be a fully functional aircraft.

Your package may be uploaded to any of the following, whether it be AVSIM, Flightsim, Simviation, your VA's site, your personal site. IT IS FORBIDDEN, HOWEVER, TO DOWNLOAD A PACKAGE FROM ANOTHER SITE AND PLACE IT ON YOUR OWN SITE WITHOUT PERMISSION.

Example: You download the Official iFDG US Airways A319 paint from AVSIM. You want to upload it on your US Airways VA's site. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DO THIS. You must obtain the original package directly from an IFDG member, and then with permission you may upload it to your site.

IT IS ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN TO UPLOAD iFDG AIRCRAFT DOWNLOADED FROM AVSIM, FLIGHTSIM, SIMVIATION, OR ANY OTHER WEBSITE THAT PROHIBITS THIS ACTIVITY ANYWHERE ELSE WITHOUT EXPRESS WRITTEN PERMISSION (email will suffice)!!

For paints you have created yourself using the paint kit, you can upload it anywhere, you DO NOT NEED TO ASK PERMISSION TO UPLOAD IT.

If you are going to use SOMEONE ELSE'S TEXTURES, YOU HAD BETTER GET THE ORIGINAL AUTHOR'S PERMISSION TO DO SO. If we find out that you have stolen one of our textures, we will have your aircraft removed from the hosting site's file library. It is a simple matter to contact us for permission, either by our website's (http://ifdg.net) contact form, or on our forum (preferably via private message). FAILURE TO GET IN CONTACT WITH THE ORIGINAL AUTHOR (iFDG or otherwise) IS NOT AN EXCUSE TO GO AHEAD AND USE ANOTHER PERSON'S TEXTURES.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Other POLICY NOTES:

- You must use the paint-kit to create any repaints of the A319!

- You may paint the A319 (USING THE PAINT KIT) in any livery, real or fictional.

- You may upload your repaint as AN ENTIRELY FUNCTIONAL PACKAGE (no "textures only!") anywhere you want. You must include the A319README.TXT, but modify the LIVERY line to reflect your authorship. If you using another author's textures, be sure to obtain their permission, and acknowledge them properly.

- Please visit our forum (http://ifdg.net/forum) and inform us of your repaint by posting in the Repaint Discussion section of the livery you have done, where you will be uploading, and include a couple of screenshots.
