DESCRIPTION

This is a COMPLETE AIRCRAFT and not 'texture only' and is intended to replace
your standard Cub. I named it - 'POSTCARD FROM... HELL !" - because of its
power plant specs

This Piper really isn't for the inexperienced - for the same reason that if you normally
drive a Ford you should not jump into an Aston Martin or a Ferrari unless you are first
taught how to deal with awsome engine power of those two cars. This is the case
with this Piper Cub. Here are a few facts about the engine you get with "Postcard From Hell' :

This Piper Cub can take off within 20 feet of runway, at full throttle.
It cruises at 192 kts at 1,000 feet altitude.
With engine on idle, it can maintain 55 kts at 2,000 feet - YES, with engine on idle !
It also surges forward to taxiing speed the moment you start the engine so make
sure your brakes are ON when you turn the ignition key.
On take off, do NOT push the throttle to maximum in one go but do so in small
increments - otherwise the engine will just take the frame apart. Also, pull the elevator
into the climb position whilst on the ground, to keep the tail of the airplane
weighed down to the ground when taxiing.
I have kept the description of the engine specs to a minimum but
let's just say that the compression ration was increased from 8 to 14:1 and
the fuel tank now holds 189 litres instead of the standard 45 litres. Engine
output is now 200HP. It remains normally aspirated, ie. not turbo.
In a nutshell, BE CAREFUL HOW YOU HANDLE THIS BABY !!
It's power to weight ratio is literally from Hell... it can climb at 5,000 fpm and still
maintain 157 kts.

SUGGESTED FLIGHT:
This flight will test your skills to the limit. -Move your Piper to
Ascension Island (icao 'FHAW') which is situated right in the middle of the Atlantic,
mid-way between Angola (west Africa) and Brazil.
Fill your tanks to max (189 litres) and do not carry in the plane more
than 1 gallon of drinking water and some food to keep the weight to a minimum.
Set your GPS from FHAW (Ascension Island) to the city of Luanda in Angola (icao FNLU).
It is an almost straight flight, heading + or - 090 deg = 1,640 nautical miles
Start your flight in the summer, at about 8am and good luck.
