General:
This model was designed using Flight Designer Pro and SDL Editor, textures with DXTBmp. This model of the Bell 47 consists of almost 1000 polygons and 13.000 vertexes !!

It makes use of all the new technologies offered by the new flight simulator programs FS2002. This means that when using it in FS2000 some features will not be functional, such as the animated virtual cockpit.

This model requires a fairly powerful PC. I therefore recommend a configuration like the one I used to design it, beign a Athlon 1400 with a GeForce2 GTS with 64 Mb graphics card.

There is one livery (RNZAF) contained in this pack made by Andrew Bennison and there are a further 4 liveries available from my web site (http://perso.wanadoo.fr/jm.mermaz/aviation.htm), representing existing helicopters in France: F-BIEH, F-BUIG, F-BVFR and F-MAMB.

Sound:
The sounds were taken from a real Bell 47 flown by Air Action. My thanks to Max, Xavier and Vincent !

INSTALLATION:
The original files were downloaded from Jean-Marie's site ( http://perso.wanadoo.fr/jm.mermaz/aviation.htm) and repackaged by Francois A. Dumas (email: francois@fssupport.com). The text in this file is loosely translated from some of the original French text on Jean-Marie's FS2002 download pages.

This model requires a fairly powerful PC. I therefore recommend a configuration like the one I used to design it, being a Athlon 1400 with a GeForce2 GTS with 64 Mb graphics card.

When unzipping the file you will get to see 2 seperate folders:
Bell47
Gauges

Copy the contents of 'Gauges' into your FS2002\GAUGES\ folder
Copy the Bell47 folder to your \FS2002\AIRCRAFT folder

Done... when selecting 'Aircraft' from the FS2002 menu bar you should select 'Bell' and you will see a '47 G-2 Sioux' with a 'Royal New Zealand Air Force' livery.
