If you would like an automated setup which will create the appropriate
Start Menu icons and an uninstaller then please run Setup.exe.

If you are experienced with installing files yourself and don't want to run
the setup routine and create shorcuts then you don't need to run setup.exe.

This should not happen if you're up to date on service packs and the like.
However, if after running setup you get a message about missing DLL's or the like
the just drop by the website to pick up the needed files.

Thanks for using FSAIRCRAFT.

Have you ever wished you had a handy list of all your FS of CFS aircraft? Create an aircraft dump list with FSAIRCRAFT!

Generate list of all Flight Simulator Aircraft
Save list of aircraft to text file
Field formatting for easy import to Excel, Access, etc.
Double-click aircraft to view aircraft.cfg
Works with FS9, Combat Flight Simulator, and others (YMMV).
RAHNSOFT FSAIRCRAFT generates a list of your aircraft that is installed to the aircraft directory. Simply point FSAIRCRAFT to the proper directory (usually c:\program files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft) then click Create List|List Gen list and you're done. Even though FSAIRCRAFT was specifically designed for "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, A Century of Flight," it will work with other versions of Flight Simulator such as FS2002, FS2000, and Combat Flight Simulator. In fact, it will work with any iteration of FS that uses the aircraft.cfg files within a unified aircraft directory. You can customize the list's field width, padding, and specify a field delimiter and row terminator. The list can be sorted by manufacturer, type, title, or subdirectory.

Steps to create an aircraft list:

Launch FSAIRCRAFT.EXE.
Make sure that your proper aircraft directory is selected. The current directory will be indicated in blue text below the aircraft directory selection box. FSAIRCRAFT will default to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft which is default for FS9.
With the proper directory selected click on "Create List" from the list box in the upper left corner of the FSAIRCRAFT window.
Click the "List Gen" button on the right. From 0 to a few seconds later you will have a list of your aircraft sorted by Manufacturer (if available).
To save the list to a text file click the "Save List" button. This will generate a text file named output.txt located in the same directory as FSAIRCRAFT. The exact location of the file will be noted in blue text below the aircraft directory selection box (where the aircraft directory was listed). Note that anytime you click on on "Save List" you will overwrite any preexisting file with the same name. If the file was generated properly it will be displayed with the Windows Notepad.exe program.

That's all there is to it!
Other Options:

Sorting: By default the list is sorted by manufacturer. To sort by any other field simply click the option circle next to the field name you want to sort by (ui_type, title, or subdir). Click "List Gen" to make a new list with your changes.
Flightsim.x: By default FSAIRCRAFT lists all the aircraft found the the [flightsim.0] sections of your aircraft.cfg files. If you wish to expand and list ALL sections then check the "Flightsim.x" check box in the "Create List" section before clicking "List Gen." This will accommodate all your extra repaints, liveries, etc.
Open aircraft.cfg: If you wish to open the aircraft.cfg file for any given aircraft simply double click it in the list.
Field Width: The default width of each field is 20 characters. This seems to work best for most situations but if you wish to adjust the width then you can do so in the "Data Format" section. You can adjust from 5 to 40 characters. The fields will grow or shrink to fit the width. Click "List Gen" to see your changes.
Field Padding: This will add 0-20 blank spaces to each field. Click "List Gen" to see your changes.
Field Delimiter: You can enter any combination of 0-5 characters as a delimiter. Click "List Gen" to see your changes.
Row Terminator: Enter any single character as a row terminator or leave blank for none. Click "List Gen" to see your changes.
Actual Width/No Pad: This will generate the list as-is with no padding or width adjustments. Click "List Gen" to see your changes.
