Thanks for downloading this aircraft. This is a corrected repaint of the Transocean Airlines DC6B "Royal Hawaiian" My GeForce 4 video card did not show reflections in FS2002 and so the original repaint appeared normal to me when viewed in FS2002. Several people let me know something was very wrong. I found an amended display.cfg file on SurClaro.com that permitted the card to show reflections and then I was able to see the errors and make appropriate corrections. I apologize to all who were inconvenienced by my mistake.

This is a repaint of the DC6B from www.calclassic.com and was created using their downloadable paint kit. The original file that was used to create the new textures was the United Airlines variant.

Thanks to Tom Gibson for supplying the colored moving prop effects.

Transocean Airlines was an Oakland, California company that flew charters around the world and helped form (re-form) post world war two airlines like Japan Airlines and Lufthansa They made much of their money from US Government contracts. Transocean operated from 1946 to 1960 with mainly DC-4s, Constellations and Stratocruisers. They had one DC6B, actually a DC6A converted for passenger use, the "Royal Hawaiian" . It crashed in the Pacific Ocean 350 miles east of Wake Island in July, 1953 killing all aboard.

Install:

Unzip to a temporary folder, and then just drag and drop the "DC6B Transocean Air Lines" folder into the "aircraft" folder located in the main FS2002 directory. Sound and panel files are already included in the package. Copy the contents of the "gauges" folder into the main FS2002 Gauges folder.
