Boeing 737-200 Lufthansa New Scheme

README

OVERVIEW
This is the Boeing 737-200 project for Flight Sim 2002.

The B737-200 brings a new aircraft fully compatible with FS2002. You will find that we've made it completely GMAX. It features the latest reflection including dynamic shine, lighting, and animation technology including accurate flaps, landing gears, and thrust reversers and dynamic wing and engine views. This is a second release in a line of MD aircraft. The FDE is the superb FDE by Sam Chin with modifications by Mike Baumann ©(2003), and the model is by Jonathan Stewart and Erick Cantu. This aircraft is truly a multi-group effort, one of many to come. The model itself is evidenced of this. The complete model is done by FlightFX. The lighting effects are by SGA. Textures by Erick Cantu and Mike Baumann ©(2003).

The Flight Dynamics on this aircraft have received meticulous attention and are far different from our previous releases. When taking off, you must trim up, also take note of fuel loads etc. This aircraft has been rigorously tested and although we strive for accuracy in every detail, due to FS limitations, not every single parameter can be realistically set. FS does not account for real true environments that change from minute to minute. FS does a fine job of providing us with a quality sim to enjoy, but real world dynamics are only possible on a simulator costing millions of dollars.

INSTALLATION

In order to properly install our aircraft, please follow the following steps closely.

Step #1

Extract this zip file to your main FS2002 folder. The files will automatically be put in their respective areas.

Step #2

The landing lights on this aircraft fold in and out of the wing when turned on or off. To realistically simulate this effect, we had to link the landing lights to the tail hook animation. In order to use the landing lights, you must first setup a key that is used to activate the tail hook animation, as it is not set by default. “Shift+T” might be considered if not already assigned to another command.

Go to the Options-> Controls-> Assignments menu
-At the bottom of the "General aircraft commands", you will find the "tail hook" command.

Step #3

To view wings from the cockpit without needing to switch to Active Camera, please follow these steps.

This will allow you to view the wings from 3 passenger perspectives without affecting the set viewpoint in the aircraft config file or ever leaving the cockpit.

Please make a backup of your panel.cfg file before continuing.

1)-in your panel config, remove the LEFT REAR, RIGHT REAR, and REAR bitmaps. remove the FIXED WINDOWS lines and the FIXED WINDOW information lower down in the panel config.

2)-place the following information in your panel config file, highlight (copy paste) and overwrite;

Fixed Window30=Forward Right
Fixed Window31=Right
Fixed Window35=Left
Fixed Window36=Forward Left
Fixed Window37=Up

This will give you the normal cockpit views when looking forward, right front, right, left, and left front, or when using the HAT switch on your controller or using the #1, #2 or #3 keys on the number keypad, you will have a passenger’s perspective looking out across the wings on either side.

#1 key looks left rear, forward of the wing
#2 key looks right rear, forward of the wing
#3 key looks left, behind the wing

#5 still looks down (or up) and cannot be used for wing views in case some of you may be considering changing it. It is mapped and coded differently and cannot be used. When trying this you will only see the wing shadow.

If you have done the above correctly, you should have the following views; (Paul Golding’s panel is used in this example)

View Forward
Forward Right (keypad #9)
View Right (keypad #6)
View Right Rear (keypad #3)
View Rear (keypad #2) *** YOU HAVE THE OPTION OF CHANGING THIS TO THE RIGHT WING BY CHANGING THE DIRECTION TO 90.0 AND REMOVING THE ‘-‘(MINUS) FROM THE EYEPOINT-ADJUST L-R AS NEEDED***
View Rear Left (keypad #1)
View Left (keypad #4)
View Forward Left (keypad #7)
