This Boeing 757-200S, North American liveries package consists of both Pratt & Whitney and Rolls Royce engine models, with liveries from the following airlines:

American Airlines
ATA, American Trans Air
Continental Airlines
Delta Airlines
Eastern Airlines
Northwest Airlines
United Airlines

There are many wonderful features provided by some very talented artists, too numerous to list here, although you may already be familiar with them.

The awesome Boeing 757-200 model, by MIKE STONE, was crafted in GMAX utilizing all available animations. Mike does an especially great job with the flaps detail and animation. They're the best out there.

The custom 757 panel was carefully designed by JOHN J. SCHUMACHER, and is the most accurate in both form and function available. It has some neat features and is fun to use. You'll like the "cabin calls" that John includes here. I've also enhanced the main .bmp file for the panel and it looks great.

The accurately produced 757 sound set is custom mixed by BRANDON WILLIAMS of Skysong Soundworks, with additional assistance from AARON R. SWINDLE. It sounds great and captures the essence of the familiar 757 groan that builds to a loud roar upon takeoff.

The texture files were created by myself using Paint Shop Pro 7. They are new DXT3 format, without mip-mapping for added detail, and have equally detailed alpha channels for just the right amount of reflection. DXT3 provides better frame-rates than 32-bit textures. All logos have been custom made and in some instances, even borrowed from photograph and repainted over. Aircraft markings were re-created to match existing font and detail. Also, I put together a new aircraft CFG that helps to fix several small issues with the flight dynamics.

I hope you enjoy this package with as much fun as I've had in putting it together for you. Feel free to drop me a line to let me know what you think.

Smooth Flying Captain!

INSTALLATION
___________________________________________________________________________________

STEP 1
Move the 757 file to Flight Simulator...

Highlight and cut the folder "b757_200S" and paste it to your FS2002\aircraft folder.
___________________________________________________________________________________

STEP 2
Install the wing vortex effect...

Open the "effects" folder and copy the file "fx_WingVortex.fx", and paste to your FS2002\effects folder.

This effect uses the "smokesystem" path and is activated by pressing the "I" button. Best used at low speeds on takeoff and landings to simulate a contrail effect off the wings.
___________________________________________________________________________________

STEP 3
Installing the Modules...

Open the modules file and copy the FSSound.dll and the FSUIPC.dll file to your FS2002/modules folder.

Open your FS2002.cfg file, and with a text editor add the following statement:

[OLDMODULES]
FSSound.dll=1

If these modules already exist on your system, then disregard this step. However, it's best to make certain you have the most recent version of FSUIPC.dll as it is updated every few months. You'll find the most recent version by visiting this web-site:

http://www.schiratti.com/files/dowson/FSUIPC.zip

Unpzip 757sound.zip to FS2002\aircraft\b757_200S\sound
