AI World Traffic for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002.

Replaces traffic.bgl file in FS2002\SCENEDB\ATC\Scenery. Backup or rename original file to traffic.old as the program will look for .bgl extension.
If you have added aircraft and flight plans to the original traffic.bgl file using an editor such as Traffic Tools they will need to be added to this file.
File created using Traffic Tools by Lee Swordy.
This file will change AI traffic call signs outside the US from an N number to a call sign of the country the flight originates from.

Known bugs:

Flight Simulator reads the "-" in aircraft registration and says "minus" when ATC uses the full call sign.
("Cessna Charlie Foxtrot minus Victor Papa Hotel") If you would prefer to remove the "-" use Traffic Tools.
Aircraft labels will display call sign of aircraft within 10 nautical miles when turned on.
If "-" has been removed it will not appear in the display.
In the example above the aircraft would appear as "CFVPH - 5.6" instead of "CF-VPH - 5.6" if it was 5.6 nautical miles away.

Call signs have been chosen at random and may duplicate real aircraft, especially in smaller countries.
Certain letter combinations may be undesirable, cause offense, or be already assigned to different aircraft type.
Some call signs have intentionally not been used for these reasons but the author assumes no responsibility for any that may still appear.
Traffic tools can be used to further remove any undesirable call signs.

At one time the FAA required all aircraft operated by US operators to be registered in the United States and carry an N number.
This is no longer the case and plane spotters may notice US airlines operating aircraft with foreign registration.
Several leased aircraft are registered in Ireland, Bermuda and the Caribbean.
It would be difficult to accommodate this in the program.
All modified aircraft in this program are registered in the country where the flight begins from and returns to, except for certain countries not allowed access to US airspace (see below).

File may be freely distributed as long as it is free and not modified.

* FAA will not allow national airline into US airspace (Cuban planes may be allowed over flight to Canada).
All AI flights between the US and this country retain original N number.
** Standard shortened due to size limitations. AI can only accommodate 7 characters in call sign field including the "-".
