B2 Spirit flight handbook
---------------------------------

Takeoff:- Trim neutral Lower flaps to pos 1 and add power.
Hold with parking brake until about 100% thrust
V1 is 140kts, rotate at 160kts
Raise gear with positive rate of climb and stow flaps above 300ft

Cruise:- climb to Altitude at 320kts and level out, use Autopilot to hold altitude
then increase thust. speed will increase to around 480kts
reduce power to 75% for cruise at around 450.

Decent:- Throttles back to 10% and decend at no more than 3000 fpm
deploy half flap to reduce speed further to 220 kts.

Approach:- With Gear down (below 200kts!) increase power to about 75% to
maintain 150 Kts and a decent rate of no more than 1000 fpm
with full flap. Again, use Autopilot ILS hold for best results.

Landing:- Reduce speed gradually to Minimum 140 kts,
Cut power over the threshold but do not flare too much or you'll be back
at 1000 ft before you finally stall !
Touchdown should be at around 125-130. brake to taxi speed.

I have found that like the real world, it is easier to use Autopilot for the
duration of the flight so you only need to fly "Hands on" for takeoff and touch down
Just like the real thing !
