* Aircraft History *
**********************************************************************

The Boeing 727 series airliner was one of the most successful
aircraft types ever designed with over 1,800 eventually produced.
Originally designed as a replacement for the Boeing 707, the 727
shared a similar fuselage except with three turbofan engines located
on the rear of the aircraft.

This aircraft repaint represents the first of 8 Boeing 727-95 series
aircraft acquired by Delta Air Lines during the merger of Northeast
Airlines with Delta in August of 1972. Originally delivered
to Northeast Airlines in October of 1965 as aircraft registration
N1631, fleet number 731, this aircraft was the first of 10 Boeing
727-95 aircraft to be ordered by Northeast. After the first 8
aircraft were delivered the orders for the remaining 2 aircraft were
canceled by Northeast due to the airline falling on economic hard
times. Upon receipt of it's Delta colors in 1972 the aircraft was
assigned fleet number 431. It continued to serve faithfully with
Delta's fleet until September of 1977. All 8 of Delta's Boeing 727-95
aircraft have subsequently been retired from service by the airline.

* Features *
**********************************************************************

* Installation *
**********************************************************************

Unzip all files to a temporary directory. Then...

FS98 or FS2000:

1. Copy the 7271dav1 folder to your FS98 or FS2000 aircraft folder.

Note: For FS98 installation the Microsoft Aircraft and Adventure
Converter for FS98 must be installed. This aircraft looks best (IMHO)
in FS98 in 3D full screen mode with MIP mapping turned off.

FSFW95 (a.k.a. Flight Simulator Classic Edition):

1. Unzip the fs5.zip file to a temporary folder.

2. Copy the texture files from the FS98/2000 version's texture folder
to the same folder where you have placed the fs5 .air file.

3. Use the Microsoft Aircraft and Adventure Converter for FSFW95
to convert the aircraft files.

Note: For FSFW95 installation the Microsoft Aircraft and Adventure
Converter for FSFW95 must be installed.

FS5:

1. Unzip the fs5air.zip file to a temporary folder.

2. Copy the fs5 7271dav1.air file to your FS5 Pilots folder.

3. Copy the texture files from the FS98/fs2000 version's texture
folder (7271dav1.0af thru 7271dav1.9af) to your FS5 Textures folder.

Note: For aircraft to work in FS5 you must have BAO's Flight Shop
program installed.
