Antwerp for Fs Global Upgrade version 1 beta.
--------------------------------------------
NOTE : This scenery will only work if used together with Fs Global Upgrade
It should work with the freeware GBS2 scenery also, but this was not tested yet
(feedback from people with gbs2 is welcome)

You also need the texture files from AIRPORT and VOD 3.0 !!!!!!!!!!

Foreword:
Why a regional airport like Antwerp for a world scenery ?
Well, because it's my hometown, it has a big seaport and i work in the maritime bussines.
Flying over Belgium with the Global Upgrade scenery i missed something.
The VOR is in the database but nothing else could be seen. Even the river Schelde was not correct.

The airport:
Please see the enclosed EBAW*.jpg for details. This will tel you more than 100 words.

The scenery:
-For your convenience, i included 2 maps in jpg format
One about the city & the port
One situating Antwerp in respect to Brussels, (Zaventem airport is in FSglobal)

-Was made with the help of highly detailed nautical maps on scale 1/10.000.
-Within the limits of Flight Simulator, all objects should be on the real positions.
Even the bouys on the river are as accurate as possible positioned. Only the character of the lights are not correct, 80% of them have an isophase 8 seconds character ( 4s on / 4s off).
( I don't know how to handle the timings for lights within FS)
For this beta version the accent lies mostly on the maritime aspect. Conspicuous objects within the city center are not ready yet. (cathedral, railway station, zoo, etc.) are still to be made.
The scenery expands from the combined road/rail bridge at Temse (pos: N51:07.3 E004:13.1)
to the Dutch border in the north.
Part of the river Rupel from Hingene to +/- Boom is also included. Here you will find the new lock
at Hingene (N51:07.1 E004:18.2)and the old lock (disused) at Wintham (N51:06.1 E004:19.2) giving
access to the sea canal to Brussels.
The riverbanks are those at HWS ( high water spring tide ), this eliminated the drawing of the shallows .

It was very hard to cover the (wrongly placed) global base scenery with the new exact scenery
Not all waterways and roads are linked up with the default global scenery yet.
You can expect this in an upgrade version. But first i have to make a lot of new objects. (tugs, river barges, dredgers, cranes, etc.). If someone wants to help, all help is welcome

Some objects for sightseeing:
Boudewijn- & Van Cauwelaert locks N51:16:40 E004:20:00
Zandvliet- & Berendrecht locks N51:20:40 E004:17:10 with Europa container terminal
Oil refinerys at Marshall dock N51:15:30 E004:20:00
Ore and coal terminal N51:19:30 E004:18:50
Lillo bridge N51:18:30 E004:19:20
Start of the canal Albert (canal to Liege) and Highway bridge N51:14:30 E004:25:10

Once more: the scenery is far from complete but i upload it anyway and hope that all bugs will be reported.

Some texture files were in my directory and i am not sure where they came from so my
apologies to the authors for not asking permission to use them but i can't remember to whom they all belong to
I hope you don't mind and thank you any way. Most of the textures came from freeware sceneries.
