1. INTRODUCTION

Googly scenery for Ozar, a small domestic airport located in Nashik (or
Nasik), 111 miles from Mumbai (Bombay). Nashik is a fast-expanding city in
the Maharashtra state in the Western Ghats located on the western edge of the
Deccan peninsula and is known as the Wine Capital of India or Grape City.

Owing to its close proxomity to Mumbai, the airport has not proved popular as
the journey by taxi, bus or rail is not much greater after taking into account
check-in times etc. Air Deccan recently withdrew all flights from Ozar and as
far as I can establish the only airline now serving Ozar is Jagson Airlines,
using Dornier 228 turboprops. There is also a military presence at the east
end of the airport.

Flight Simulator 2004 has only provided a runway at this airport and this scenery
seeks to redress the situation so that you and your "AI" traffic can use the
airport.

The scenery does not purport to be ultra-accurate. Based on high quality
satellite imagery from Google Earth, the layout is proportionally correct but the
added airport features, such as buildings, are built from default Microsoft objects
and add-on libraries so will not look exactly like the real thing.

You are not obliged to download and install any additional scenery libraries,
but to enjoy this scenery in its entirety, you may wish to. It will work fine,
with or without.

2. INSTALLATION OPTIONS

i. Basic installation - some airport objects, such as buildings, will
display as they use default Flights Simulator objects.

ii. Standard libraries - I recommend downloading and installing the Abacus
EZ-Scenery and Rwy12 standard libraries as these will be effective in many other
sceneries too.
Abacus EZ-Scenery EZ-Libraries:

Rwy12 Library 1 (Seev Kahn & Israel Roth):

Rwy12 Library 2 (Seev Kahn & Israel Roth):

Rwy12 Library 3 (Seev Kahn & Israel Roth):
http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004sd&DLID=71797

iii. Additional libraries - some of the features in this scenery use the
following additional scenery object libraries.
Default Terminal Building Subset for EZ-Scenery (Sidney Schwartz)
http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?FileName=default_terminals_ss.zip
VFR Letters SS V2 FS9 scenery objects (Sidney Schwartz)
http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?FileName=vfr_letters_ss_v2.zip
EZhangers for Abacus EZ-Scenery (Dennis Waggoner)
http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?FileName=ezhangers.zip
FS9 Custom Buildings 1 for EZ-Scenery (Sidney Schwartz)
http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?FileName=fs9_custom_buildings_ss_1.zip
Matt's Trees. Vol XI - Mixed (Matthew Tomkins)
http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?FileName=matts_trees11_mixed.zip
Vintage Military Buildings SS (Sidney Schwartz)
http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?FileName=vintage_military_ss.zip

iv. To enhance the appearance of Microsoft's default buildings and apron/taxiway
textures, you may wish to download and install Airport Environment Upgrade 7 but
please understand that the vastly improved quality of the textures may result
in slightly reduced performance on your system.
Airport Environment Upgrade 7:
http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004scen&DLID=61485

Please be aware that some scenery designers supply copies of parts of the above
libraries with their scenery distribution. This is pointless as it can lead to
duplicate files on your system but it can also cause objects to display in
uncoloured form if they only distributed textures relevant to their own scenery.
If you experience uncoloured scenery objects, this is probably the problem and
you will need to install the library concerned in its entirety to display them
correctly.

3. INSTALLATION

Just put the various *.bgl files in your Flight Simulator's Addon Scenery\scenery
folder and the enhanced airport will be activated next time you start Flight
Simulator 2004.

Alternatively, you can create a separate folder for individual airports or all
of my AFCAD and scenery files together, placing the files into a sub-folder
named 'scenery'. Then add the folder to the Flight Simulator Scenery Library
and the enhanced airport layout(s) will be activated next time you start Flight
Simulator 2004.

To remove the scenery, just delete the same files (and remove from the Scenery
Library list if appropriate) and restart.

4. CREDITS

I am grateful to Lee Swordy for his free AFCAD software, a major contribution to
Flight Simulator, without which this airport simulation could not have been
developed. His work has now been ported into commercial software and developed
further.

The above-mentioned creaters of scenery libraries are thanked for making their work
available to all.

Google must be thanked for making the satellite data so easily accessible.

For geographical information I use many books and internet references to supplement
my own knowledge. Wikipedia is an excellent source for many of these locations.

If I have failed to mention anybody else, it is definitely not intentional.

5. UPLOADS

I generally only upload files to AVSIM. However, they regularly appear on other
servers - something that I have no particular objection to as long as they are made
available free of any fees. However, it frustrates me when I see my files wrongly described
on other sites and I would appreciate it if extracts of this readme file are used for
the description and not misleading comments like "uses default scenery objects" when
this is clearly not the case.

Enjoy!
