Golden Age Simulations; 1930 Clipwing Monocoupe. Model by Golden Age Simulations (Paul Corish and Gil Halpen); Gauges; Tim Conrad; Airfile contribution Keith Monson and Steve Myers. Beta testers Roger and Tom of The Old Hanger. Inspiration: Bill and Lynn Lyons.

Our model attempts to recreate for FS9 the Clipwing Monocoupe of the 1930's. There were 9 made and 12 crashed, taking thier pilots with them. Johnny Livingston was able to tame the beast and flew this aircraft to be the winningest air racer of it's era. Interestingly enough, 9 Monocoupes exist today. When introduced the Monocoupe was the first cabin monoplane and set the stage for all future aircraft of it's type.

Installation:
1)After downloading the zip, locate it, and extract the file to a temp folder.
2)Copy Folder 110 Clipwing Special to your FS2004 Aircraft Folder
3)Everything should be in the right place and subfolder.
4) Copy the gauges into your FS2004 Gauges Folder. You may already have some of them, so you don't have to overwrite or reload them. Choice is yours. See NOTAMS below!

BEFORE YOU FLY!.......

Copy the GaugeSound.dll file into your FS Main Folder. Easygauge 2.0, what Tim used to make gau's, says this file is needed. If you already have one of his later planes, you most likely have this file already installed.
SIM WILL CRASH IF NOT INSTALLED!

REALLY... BEFORE YOU FLY

You are in a plane that is 22.5 ft long with a 23 ft wingspan. The total tail area is about 9 feet. Hanging out in front of you is a 185 hsp Warner Scarab Radial engine driving about 8 feet of prop.

When taking off the aircraft gradually apply power while simultaniously adding right aileron onput and dragging a bit of right brake. On climb out avoid abrupt control input until you ahve reached sufficient altitude to recover from a spin.

This aircraft has been defaulted to the FS9 Vega sound file and scenary. we recommend T-28 Sound Set by Aaron R. Swindle Skysong Soundworks available at SurClaro, file;t28snz.zip

A Paint Kit is provided with this model and as such we give our permission to distrbute re-paints of our model. No other re-distributions are allowed and this model may not be combined with any package or redistribution without our permission.
