HISTORY:

The South African Air Force (SAAF) received the first of 16 Mirage IIICZ
interceptor aircraft in April 1963. The CZ's were all assigned to No.2 "Cheetah"
Squadron. The SAAF used the Mirage IIICZ from 1963 to 1990. During the Bush
War of 1975 to 1988, they were heavily involved in attack, reconnaissance,
and escort or Combat Air Patrol (CAP) missions. For the CAP missions the
aircraft carried the locally developed Kukri IR guided air-to-air missile.
No. 809, together with a few other aircraft, was painted in a new grey low
visibility scheme in the late 1980’s.

************** IMPORTANT INFORMATION **************

The Mirage IIICZ by Jason Ashworth was originally designed for FS2002 but will
work in FS2004(FS9). After installing the package, when you launch FS2004,
answer "NO" to the question asked by the simulator to deactivate the
functionality of certain "unsupported" features. After doing this the animated
landing gear, control surfaces, and most other working parts will work fine.

If you accidentally say "yes" you can reverse this by editing the [FrameCallNoWarn]
section of the FS9.CFG file. Here you will find the name of one or several
aircraft with "=0" next to it. Change the value to "1" ( ...=1) and the
"unsupported" features will work again. An alternative is to simply remove
that aircraft from the list. You will be asked the question again on next
launch and can "Just Say No" at that time to restore animation.

The FS9.CFG file is a hidden file located here (depends on your Windows version):
- Windows 2000 and Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9
- Windows 9x and Windows ME:
C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9

PANEL:
I want to thank Saverio Maurri for letting me use parts of his Hunter panel
and his great gauges. I also want to thank Romain and Laurent Lucas, Eric
Marciano for the gauges used from the Super Etendard panel. I’m also very
grateful to all the other gauge designers out there!

NOTES:

The FDE is not what it should be like, unfortunately, I will be working on it
and possibly releasing future versions at Frank's website (see above for link).
