ABOUT THE SCENERY:

How did I come the do Chattanooga? Well, I've never been to the facility at all. All I did was to take off from Greenville Downtown SC, turn to 270 degrees and landed at the first blue facility indicated on the gps scope. It happened to be Chattanooga Metro Airport, better known as Lovell Field. I found the facility interesting and from what info I was able to come up with from the internet, I decided to go ahead with the design. The airlines and the fbo are real, I just don't know where they are located on the field. Using a diagram of the field with black marks to indecate where buildings are located, I placed the signed buildings where I thought they would most likely go.
Known characteristics in this scenery are: Crashing into invisible "building" and being too close to an object when changing to the scenery in any view other than the tower view. The work around is to TURN OFF THE CRASH DETECT in FS and always go to the scenery while already in the tower view. Once at the scenery, you can go to any other view.
The information for these problems came too late to incorporate into this scenery, however, my next venture will have what is hopefully a permanant fix for the situation. Enjoy!

INSTALLATION:

AFTER UNZIPPING THE FILE KCHA_V1.ZIP TO A TEMPORARY FOLDER, HOPEFULLY, YOU ARE READING THIS README FILE.

If you don't have them already, download Lee Swordy's Traffic Tools v2x and AFCAD2x. Follow the instructions from the files and install them onto your system. While you're at it, download the texture files necessary for this scenery and put them into the main FS texture folder. They are: ASDv2.1, Nova, Nova Gold and NovaSim textures, plus my own custom textures. All are available for free at my website, www.lfssd.net (the "l" is an L, not a one).

Using the folders switch, unzip the file kcha_scen.zip to the drive where you have your FS. Using your file manager (Windows Explorer) check to make sure that all the files are in their proper folder.

C:\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files should have TN - Chattanooga Metro FLT and WX files
Drive:\FS2004\Addon Scenery\scenery should have AF2_KCHA.bgl
Drive:\FS2004\Scenery\World\scenery should have TrafficChattanooga.bgl
Drive:\fs2k4_scenery\KCHA\scenery should have the kcha_*.bgl scenery files
Drive:\FS2004\Texture should have the following textures:
Sigh_American, Sign_Delta, Sign_Comair, Sign_Northwest, Sign_USAirways, Letters, Sign_TACAir, Sign_Chattanooga, Sign_Airborne Express, Sign_BAX Global, Sign_Emery Worldwide, Sign_Fedex, Sign_UPS
If you have Lago's FSE 2004, then check the following:
Drive:\FS2004\Lago\FSE\Data\should have Chattanooga.SE2

Start FS and select settings to add the scenery in the usual manner. Re-start FS and select Select a Flight. Scroll to TN - Chattanooga Metro and click.

You should be ready to fly. Happy landings!
