ABOUT THE AIRPORT:

On August 29, 1931, New Haven's new Municipal Airport was formally dedicated and opened for operation. For over a year workmen have been busily engaged transforming what was once a thickly wooded and swampy area into what can now be classified as one of the leading airports in the country with the most modern equipment of any airport in New England. Tweed-New Haven Airport(KHVN) serves New Haven and New Haven County and is owned by the City Of New Haven. The airport has more than one runway. The longest is a paved runway extending 5600 feet. The facility is at an elevation of 14 feet at a distance of about 3 miles from New Haven. The facility is serviced by two commercial airlines, US Airways and Delta Connection.

ABOUT THE SCENERY:

This is the second airport in my Connecticut series. Tweed-New Haven is not far from Sikorsky. So I included a short hop in a Cirrus SR20 in the flight plans. You will need the usual texture sets, though I am beginning to get away from the ASDv2.1 set. There are not as many objects employing that set in this scenery. However, you must have Nova, Nova Gold and NovaSim textures. They are available from SurClaro for Nova and Nova Gold and fsnova.com for NovaSim. The file for NovaSim is nstext1.zip.
As a reminder, please turn off your crash detect in FS. There is a known problem with crashing into an invisible object. Turning off the crash detect will fix it. Oh, one other thing.....enjoy the scenery!

INSTALLATION:

AFTER UNZIPPING THE FILE KHVN_V1.ZIP TO A TEMPORARY FOLDER, HOPEFULLY, YOU ARE READING THIS README FILE.

If you don't have them already, download Lee Swordy's Traffic Tools v2x and AFCAD2x. Follow the instructions from the files and install them onto your system. While you're at it, download the texture files necessary for this scenery and put them into the main FS texture folder. They are: ASDv2.1, Nova, Nova Gold and NovaSim textures. All are available for free at SurClaro except NovaSim. You can get NovaSim textures for free at www.fsnova.com.

Using the folders switch, unzip the file khvn_scen.zip to the drive where you have your FS. Using your file manager (Windows Explorer) check to make sure that all the files are in their proper folder.
