The Port Victoria 8 was a prototype Shipborne Scout carrying a single Lewis gun, for Airship Interception.

Built by the RNAS. Experimental Flight at Eastchurch, hence named 'Eastchurch Kitten' as it was "the smallest flying machine" at the time.

Designed by Lt. G.H.Millar RNVR. it first flew in August 1917.

The design anticipated the production of a 45 hp. geared ABC. Gnat engine, and the 35 hp. version was used temporarily, making the aircraft underpowered. There were no brakes and the rigid undercart relied on the tyres alone for shock absorption. Reported initially to be 'very quick on all controls', it was tamed but abandoned when the 45 hp. engine failed to appear.
