STARTING

Call "CLEAR" to ground crew
Start Switch - ON RIGHT, 10 to 15 seconds

Cowl Flaps - Trail then Off
Oil Shutters - As Required
Propellers - Full Forward, 2700 RPM
Throttles - 48 Inches MAP
Gyros - Set and Uncaged
Fuel Booster Pumps - On
Friction Brake - Tightened
Tailwheel - Locked when lined up with runway

AFTER TAKEOFF
Landing Gear - Up (After Positive Climb Indication)
Wheels- Stop Rotation With Brakes
Accelerate to VY 105 KIAS then Reduce to MP 42", 2550 RPM
Fuel Booster Pumps - Off
At 110-115 KIAS - Reduce Power to 36 Inches MAP
Reduce Props to 2350-2,400 RPM
Adjust mixture for Mixture to MAX Fuel Flow, at every 1,000 ft climb
Adjust Throttle regular to maintain MAP setting while climbing
CRUISE
Cowl Flaps - As Required and Off
Check Ref page for Cruise settings
Fuel Selector - To Desired Cruise Tanks
Oil Shutters - As Required


BEFORE LANDING
Automatic Pilot - Off
Altimeters - Set
Fuel Selector - To All
Mixtures - Auto Rich
Carburetor Air - Cold
Fuel Booster Pumps - On
Ignition - Check
Power - Below 100 knots, as low as necessary
Propellers - Set 2350 RPM
Landing Gear - Down and Latched, Green Light, Check Wheels Visually
Tailwheel - Locked
De-Icers - Off
Parking Brake - Off, brake pressure on pedals
Flaps - As Desired
At touchdown, throttles closed
Propellers full forward in case of go around.

AFTER LANDING
