Airbus A319/320/321 Panel for MS FS2k2 Professional

Version 0.9

1. Introduction
---------------

As many of you did (and maybe still do) I really loved Andreas Jaros's famous A320 panel for FS98 and FS2k. It was simply the best and most realistic panel freely available on the Internet. Unfortunately the panel's FS2k version contains some gauges that cause FS2k2 to crash.

So I decided to redesign his panel for myself with freeware gauges and sounds until there are updated gauges available from Andreas Jaros or anybody else. Unfortunately I am not a gauge programmer yet.

I tried to use gauges that give me the feeling of flying an Airbus. Another aspect was an excellent readability of the PFD and ND in any day and night condition. The result is a compromise between functionality and reality.
Fortunately Andreas Jaros allowed me to use his work for a FS2k2 version of his panel and to publish it. Thanks Andi!

This is my first panel that I'm publishing and it is not finished yet. There will be updates in the future since I'm enhancing it constantly.

I hope you are satisfied with this panel and have many soft landings using it.

2. Copyrights
-------------

The included background bitmaps are copyrighted by Andreas Jaros and may not be used without his agreement.

All included gauge and sound files should be freeware as far as I know. Please let me know if this is wrong.
Many thanks to all freeware gauge and sound programmers for your nice work!

3. Installation
---------------

- Extract the content of this zip file to the \aircrafts\fsfsconv directory in your FS2k2 main directory. A subdirectory panel.a320.fs2k2.dr should be created and filled automatically

- Extract the content of gauges.zip to the \gauges directory in your FS2k2 main directory

- Extract the content of sound.zip to the \sound directory in your FS2k2 main directory

- Change the panel.cfg file of any aircraft you want to use with this panel as follows:

[fltsim]
alias=FSFSconv\panel.a320.fs2k2.dr

- Start FS2k2 and enjoy your new cockpit. If it does not work, make sure you completed all installation steps successfully.

4. Manual
---------

There is no manual available for this panel yet. Refer to Andreas Jaros's manual or to a real airline's Aircraft Operations Manual for the A319/A320/A321 until I find the time to create one.

Notes and Hints:

- The panel was designed for a screen resolution of 1280x1024 with 16bit colors. Please let me know if I have to change something for other resolutions
- Autobrake buttons work although the mouse pointer does not change over them all the time
- Radar Altitude gauge in PFD can be used to adjust Decision Height
- NAV1 Course is displayed and changable in ND, HDG is displayed and changeable in AP
- If LVL indicator is still ON after AP1 OFF: Switch FD off
- Supports night illumination of panel and instruments using the switch in the Rear Middle Pedestal panel window
- Disable the automatic "LVL enable when AP is enabled" within your aircraft.cfg by adding the following line in the [autopilot] section as follows:

[autopilot]
use_no_default_pitch=1
