7. Fly from Big Dawg Base to a medical call north of Beulah. LZ is in the front yard of a large house. Take patient to WFMC and return to Big Dawg Base.

8. Fly from Big Dawg Base to do a helicopter flying demo at the 4-H club east of town. Land and shut down to join the Escambia County firefighters eating barbeque at their annual picnic. After lunch, fly a few dignitaries around for demo flights. Take the State Fire Marshal to Pensacola Regional Airport to catch a flight back to Ocala(or take him back yourself). Return to Big Dawg Base.

9. Fly from Big Dawg Base, land across the street from the fire station at the festival grounds, pick up the Fire Chief, and take him to recon the brush fire west of town. Return him to the pickup point and you return to Base.

10. Fly from Big Dawg Base and respond to a call of a downed aircraft at Beulah and 9 mile road. Plane last seen going down on the northeast corner in a wooded area. Land, rescue 2 survivors, take them to WFMC. Return to Big Dawg Base.

11. Fly from Big Dawg Base and pick up a stranded helicopter student at the asphalt helipad at the Navy OLF Helicopter Field east of town and fly her to Pensacola NAS. Return to Big Dawg base.

12. Depart from Big Dawg Base and fly SW to Shields Field (on 2000 and 2002 maps). Survey the area for a possible forward base for firefighting activities. Fly to Furgeson to eat lunch and refuel. Fly back to Big Dawg Base. (This is tied to future missions).

13. Fly from Big Dawg Base to Whiting Field (on 2000 and 2002 maps) and pick up fedral firefighters. Ferry them to the brush fire in Beulah. Return to Big Dawg base.

Don't forget your practice at the Navy OLF Field. Some exercises:

1. Land on the grass pad with the circle landing markers from all 4 cardinal directions. Do it again but do a 180 degree turn on landing to land facing 180 degrees opposite your approach heading.

2. Use the grass pad with the two single markers. Land on one marker, then fly sideways to the other marker, then back. Next land heading 270 on the left marker, hover, do a turn in place with the anti-torque pedals, then land on the other marker facing 90 degrees.

3. Practice approach to the grass pad next to the fire engine from all directions.

4. Approach the hover practice area on a heading of 90, and land on the landing marker(or hover), turn around and move into the hover area heading 270. See how long you can hover. Minimum of 90 seconds is fair, hover for 120 seconds is good, hover for 4 minutes is very good, hover for 5+ minutes excellent.
