Boeing 737-400 - Night lighting for default panel
---------------------------------

By Peter Gulyas

This packages adds high resolution night lighting to the default Boeing 737-400 panel. The night lighting can be switched on with the turn-knob next to the panel switches on top of the main panel. Apart from this, I have also added no smoking, fasten seat belts signals on the overhead panel. It is recommended that you switch off the navigation lights when using the night lighting, because they interfere with each other. The night lighting allows clear enough visibility of the panel without the nav lights.

The window for a pushback panel, and the BSATC panel is included, but the gauges and other segments are not. If you have these installed, you can run them through this panel, if not, you can download them from SurClaro. However, the panel works with or without them.

The HUGE size of this file is the result of the fact that nearly all of the gauges used in the main panel had to be reworked in order to allow the lighting to be projected over them. The result is pretty good, I hope! So download it, and try it, I think it's worth it!

Installation
----------------

This package replaces the panel of the default Boeing 737-400, so the MOST IMPORTANT part of the installation process is to safely back up all the previous files that are replaced by installing this panel. The files to be backed up are listed below to make things easier for you. Please note, that I am not in any way responsible for any loss of data on your computer, since I have warned you in advance!

BACKUP LIST
----------------

- From "...\fs2000\gauges" folder:

737-400.gau (absolutely necessary)
BOEING747-400.no-smoking.gau (if it exists)
BOEING747-400.seat-belts.gau (if it exists)
pg.md80.fpda.cpit.gau (if it exists)
pg.md80.fpda.cpitsw.gau (if it exists)

- The entire "...\fs2000\aircraft\B737_400\panel" folder.

Go beyond this point only when you have completed the list above!

First, unzip the gp_737nl.zip file into a temporary folder. Place all the files with GAU extension into the "...\fs2000\gauges" folder, overwriting anything that you had there before with the same name (after backup, of course).

Then, locate your "...\fs2000\aircraft\B737_400\panel" folder, and delete the contents of this panel folder, but ONLY this, and nothing else.

Now, place all other files (apart from *.GAU) into this emptied folder.

That's it, you're done! Next time you run FS2000, the updated 737 panel will be available with the default 737, or other aircrafts that use this panel.

Uninstallation
----------------

Just replace the new files with the ones you backed up, and you're back to where you stared out from!
