Old style Grumman Goose Panel for FS2004 for Mike Stone's Grumman Goose aircraft

This is my attempt to create an old style 2D-panel for the Grumman Goose. It is based on the FS98 panel by J.L. Stubbs and uses the same bitmaps with some changes.
The instrument layout is similar to that panel but uses mainly FS9 default gauges.
The airfile "goose1.air" was modified to allow for carburator heat (entry 323 set to "True") and to adjust the fuel pressure to the DC3 default gauge (entry 545 fuel pressure limit set to "2102"). If you are not using Mike Stone's aircraft you can also do that with any other airfile using the airfile editor AirEd available at SurClaro.

INSTALLATION:
1. Unzip the contents of goosepnl.zip into a temporary folder.
2. Move the PANEL.old folder to your Grumman Goose aircraft folder in your FS9\AIRCRAFT directory.
3. Go to FS9/AIRCRAFT/Douglas_dc3/panel and copy the file "douglas_dc3.cab" to the PANEL.old folder above.
4. copy the contents of the effects folder into the FS2004 Effects Folder.
5. If you have Mike Stone's Grumman Goose aircraft, copy the airfile "goose1.air" to your Goose aircraft directory.
6. First make a back up copy of your aircraft.cfg. Then open the aircraft.cfg with the Editor. Look for

6.1 the section [fltsim.x] (where x is the number of the aircraft variant you want to use the panel with):
- after the entry "sim=" insert "goose1" (so that the aircraft will use the modified airfile)
- after the entry "panel=" insert "old" (this will cause your aircraft to be shown with this panel);

6.2 the section [Radios]:
- replace the section by the following (this will make it compatible to the DC-3 Radios):

[Radios]
Audio.1 = 1
Com.1 = 1, 0
Com.2 = 1, 0
Nav.1 = 1, 0, 1
Nav.2 = 1, 0, 0
Adf.1 = 1
Adf.2 = 1
Transponder.1 = 0
Marker.1 = 1

6.3 the section [EFFECTS]:
- add the following lines (nice effects for waterlanding and engine start):

water=fx_waterland
startup=fx_engstrt_ryan

6.4 add the section [SMOKESYSTEM] below (will provide engine smoke when hitting the "I" key to activate the smoke system)

[SMOKESYSTEM]
smoke.0=0.00, 2.00, 7.40, rcs_smoke_gry
smoke.1=-0.00, -2.00, -7.40, rcs_smoke_gry

6.5 Save the changes and close the aircraft.cfg

That should do it. Have fun!
