FS2004 Aircraft Hawker Sea Fury FB11 G-Fury

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This file is best read in Notepad with wordwrap turned on.

The plane is a Hawker Sea Fury FB11. This package includes a new model and the option to display it with or without smoke pods.

WJ244 was acquired by Spencer Flack in 1978. She was registered as G-Fury and was a UK airshow favourite until she crashed in August 1981.

This is a FSDS V2 model for FS2004. It features folding wings, opening cockpit canopy and many other moving parts as well as lights and smoke effects. Aircraft and panel by David Hanvey. Textures by Paul Barry. Airfile by Jerry Beckwith.

History
-------
We (David Hanvey and Paul Barry) started to work on the Sea Fury many months ago. Jerry Beckwith has kindly produced the airfile. This is our sixth major release. The first release was of the FB11. The second release was of the T20 of the RNHF, the third release was a T20 of the DLB, the fourth release was a T20 of the A&AEE and the fifth release was a Sea Fury floatplane. All releases include different aircraft models.

The aircraft has been used and tested in FSCOF/FS9/FS2004. We expect it to work in FS2002 also.

Installation
------------

For automatic installation, unzip to your main FS2004 directory.

To manually install (PREFERABLE), unzip first to a temporary directory. Then copy the folder
SFuryGF (found in the Aircraft directory) to your main aircraft directory in FS2004.

Then copy and paste the contents of the EFFECTS folder into your main FS2004 EFFECTS folder.

Finally, copy and paste the contents of the GAUGES folder into your main FS2004 GAUGES folder. Most of the gauges were originally from CFS2 plus some freeware add-ons. Not sure who provided all the add-ons originally (too many downloads installed/deleted). Although our thanks to Phillipe Burnage for the hawker.gau. Our apologies for not giving specific credit.

If you are asked to overwrite any files then just say no!

Now just load up FS and fly!

Sound
-------------

Sound is aliased to the stock DC-3 in order to keep this filesize down. If you have already downloaded the Sea Fury T20 of the RNHF (SFRel2.zip), then we suggest that you alias the sound to that aircraft instead. Alternatively, you can just download the Sea Fury sound file (SFsnd1.zip).

Effects
-------------

On startup there is automatic engine smoke. This is best viewed from the front.
An aircraft contrail can been seen at high altitude, depending upon temperature.
We have replaced the wing contrails with 'airshow' smoke for this version. If you want to add the wing contrails then just remove the // in front of the two relevant lines (ie smoke.0 and smoke.1) in the aircraft config file.
You also have a choice of two airshow smoke effects. If you do not like the standard one, then open the aircraft config file in wordpad add // in front of smoke.2 and smoke.3. Then remove the // in front of smoke.4 and smoke.5

Key Commands
-------------

We thought that it would be useful to draw your attention to the following key commands -

Shift+E Opens/closes front canopy
Shift+E release and then press 2 Raises/lowers pilots visor
Cntrl+Shift+C Closes cowl flaps
Cntrl+Shift+V Opens cowl flaps
T Raises/lowers tailhook
I Switches 'airshow' smoke on/off
L Switches lights on/off
O Switches strobes on/off
Shift+W Wings fold/unfold
Shift+5 Adds gauges in 2D cockpit only ( do not use in VC)

You may have to assign some of these commands in FS2004. You can do this by going to settings and then to controls/assignments in FS2004.
