Version 2.0

After more than 80 hours of programming I have managed, at last, to create and improve my previous upload, which included runways and ILS data for FS2K, using the data from the FS2K AFD files, and of course the supplied VOR and NDB files (decompressed when necessary). The intersection data is from already existing and downloadable FIX BGL files.

What is contained in this ZIP archive:

FS2K.000 These are the database files for FSNavigator,
FS2K.001 including Runways & ILS information.

FS2K.CDB This is a database for Super Flight Planner.

Additional note. Renaming of these filenames is NOT required. These databases were meant to replace world.000 and world.001 from the previous author who had made databases, but had no runways or ILS data. If you want to use that author's data, go ahead. But don't rename his files either.

All the above were created using newly created bgl files that contain runway and ILS information. Perhaps in the next release, I'll include marker & taxiway information as well. Markers & taxiways are not included here.

For this version, the following has been changed/added:

1. All the NAVAIDS that were missing from the previous version should be present now.

2. The runway headings have been adjusted to aircraft position heading, rather that the actual heading information given for the runway. This should properly adjust the runway to compensate for magnetic variation.

3. Thanks to Sascha Felix for enlightening me on the new ILS BGL conventions. They're included in the database as supplied by Microsoft, decompressed when necessary, and modified in order to read them with FSNav and SFP.

I have found, more often than not, that the data in the FS2000 AFD files have considerable errors, but evidently not noticable in FS2000's own mapping routine. Remember, that all the runway data was derived from the FS2K AFD files, directly. So some errors could exist upwards to around 15%, after compensation as explained above. But for the purpose of flight planning with Super Flight Planner or FSNavigator, this is close enough.
