CFS2/FS2000 "McDonnell F2H2 Banshee" FSDS Model re design, F2h2_Banshee.air file, Aircaft.config, Panel, Textures. and Object_dp, by Jim Jacobson: WinterWonder222@yahoo.com. Released as freeware-December 2003.

I know CFS2 is not flown much anymore, FS2004 is the bulk of the files online now. However, its winter 2003 and if your like me, you still like to fly a little CFS2 when is dark out and the snow and cold keep you indoors. I was over at www.sim-outhouse.com and I heard about this plane in discussion about my ToKori Mission. The F2H2 Banshee is very similiar to the F9 Panther.Made by McDonnell, it was used by the Navy and Marines during the Korean War as a fighter/Attack aircraft. It was slightly more power full and heavier than the F9 with a distinctive twin engine exhaust on each wing. Still, like the panhter, it had a relatively small bomb load by todays standards for a Fighter/Attack aircraft. But, It was part of the first generation jet aircraft/straight wing configuration and part of the evolution of the Fighter/Attack class. Further developement was the F2H-3 and 4 Banshee which increased the size, weight, power, and wing configuration of that of the F2H2. So, if you want to go back and get a chance to fly the Korean era of the Fighter/Attack, give it a spin. Maybe, like me, you can always use a new plane to practice traps.....
