De Havilland 87b Hornet Moth
The De Havilland Aircraft Company designed and produced aircraft which,in their time, were state of the art machines.Originally the Hornet Moth was aimed to replace the Tiger Moth,as the primary trainer for the RAF,but found it's place as a 2 seater tourer available to all.
De Havillands aim was always to provide to the general public, aircraft, which were easy to fly, easy to maintain, easy to store, and easy on the budget of as many people as possible.Their "Moth" series of aircraft justified their efforts. The proof is in that so many of the Moth series still fly today!
The Hornet Moth depicted here,G-ADNE,"Ariadne" as she is named,is in the custody of the Felix family in England and to whom I am indebted for supplying me, unstintingly, with all the images I requested. Ariadne is a regular performer on the British Airshow circuit, and it's pristine condition denies it's 1936 birthdate. (the same as mine come to think of it)
The Hornet Moth also qualifies as a "Warbird",being pressed into service by the RAF at the outbreak of WW2 and the Shuttleworth Museum's example of the Hornet Moth is painted in wartime camouflage.

NOTE;- The Hornet Moth did not have flaps, instead, the undercarrige fairings could be turned 90 degrees to the slipstream which provided excellent air brakes making landing very easy.
This feature is provided here and can be toggled between F5 and F8 or with the panel flap switch.
Mildly aerobatic. (you can spin it)

INSTALLATION:- Unzip.Identify folder dh87,drag and drop to FS9/ aircraft or FSX/sim objects/airplanes.
It works with no problems in both sims even though my PC is now showing it's age and I do not have the FSX additional packs.

TAKE CAREFUL NOTE:-This add-on aircraft is naturally copyrighted to me. If you want to do anything with it,ask first !(see below)
