DC-3 FLIGHT DYNAMICS FILE

Modified by Steve Baugh for improved FS2000 ground steering.

This is the Virgin Islands Airways DC-3 AIR file that has been
modified as follows:

Changed the "yaw rudder response" variable in section 1101 to
"-5.0" or "-4.0" for a little more pizzaz, then set gear to
steerable in sec. 1004. This works pretty well in FS2000. (I don't
know if steering is reversed in FS98 or not--I don't have it loaded
anymore).

Installation Instructions

For any DC-3 that you want to steer on the ground:

1. Each aircraft in FS2000 (and FS98) have a folder in the FS
AIRCRAFT folder. Inside this folder you will find a file with the
aircraft's name and the extension .AIR (we'll call it xxx.air).
Rename this file from xxx.AIR to xxx.AIR.ORIG.

2. Copy the AIR file contained in this file archive into the
DC-3's folder.

3. Rename this copied AIR file to the original AIR file name (i.e.
rename dc3-vir.air to xxx.air).

Remember, the xxx part of xxx.air stands for the original name of
the plane's AIR file.

Enjoy!
