Additional scene for Flight Simulator 98.
THE AIRPORTS OF THE CAPITALS OF THE STATES OF THE MIDDLE EAST (10 COUNTRIES).

INTRODUCTION
------------
Contrary to FS2000 which contains the main airports of all the countries of the world, the geographical coverage of FS98 is sharply less complete. North America and the West Indies are privileged while some other wide areas of the world don't contain any airports.
My project is to mitigate this deficiency by making available for FS98 users six scenery add-ons representing the main airport of the capital of every country for each of the following regions: Europe, the MIDDLE EAST (this package), America, Asia, Oceania and Africa.
Every airport scenery is the most exact possible reproduction of runways, taxiways, beacons, navaids such as ILS and contains a fuel box.
On the other hand, the modelling of buildings (buildings, hangars, control towers ...) does not strictly claim to be in accordance with the real environment of every airport. On this last point, the additional scenes of this collection do not compete with freeware, shareware or commercial scenes dedicated to an airport in particular.
- Microsoft Flight Simulator 98 (a complete installation on the hard disk is advised if you have a sufficient space),
- the official patch of Microsoft, fs98pat1.exe available on numerous sites,
- WINZIP or any program performing the same functions,
- a hardware configuration assuring good framerates even though this scene is thrifty in material resources (minimum advised : Pentium 166 , 32 Mb of RAM, graphics board of 4 Mb).

INSTALLATION

1. Unzip the file you have downloaded using Winzip or similar and into the main Flight Simulator scenery Directory (default is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\Scenery).
2. Enable the scenery in FS98 as follows :
· Go to 'World\Scenery Library'
· Click the "OK" button in the warning dialog box (it appears only the first time in a session)
· Click "Files..." in the Scenery Library dialog box
· Click "Add..."
· Type "=:\=\scenery\capmea\scenery\*.bgl" in the Scenery Area Path textbox (without the quotes)
The path must be adapted if your main directory of FS98 is different from the one proposed by default.
· Type "capmea" in the Scenery Area Title textbox (no quotes here either)
· Select "Local" as Scenery Area Type
· Check "Scenery Area Active"
· Click "OK" twice to close the dialogs.
FS98 will update the Facilities Database. This operation can take certain time (until 1mn30s depending on your hardware configuration).
You should also layer CAPMEA at least one layer above (lower number) than any other add-on scenery you may have that covers the Middle East Area.
The compatibility of CAPMEA's scenes with other scenery add-ons covering the same geographical region was not tested and can not be guaranteed.

CAPMEA 1.0 is freeware and it can be freely distributed for free for a private use if all the files are included.
WRITTEN PERMISSION OF AUTHOR IS NEEDED TO:
* distribute this package on every media (CD-ROM, floppy disk ...) in the case users must pay to access this media or have to buy it.
* modify the scenery files (*.bgl).
CAPMEA's tests did not reveal any dysfunction.
Nevertheless, the author isn't responsible for any damages resulting from the use of this product.
