STARTING set:-
Gillls closed, Throttle slightly open and Props Max.
Boost pumps must always be on when, and only
when,the tank cock is open. Set Flowmeters to zero.
Ignition on & Start engine. Check oil pressure rises.
Run as slowly as possible for 30 secs.
Then warm up at 1,000 ~ 1,200 rpm.
At Zero Boost, check 120 deg CHT, 15 deg Oil and
open gills. Check full engine speed of 2700 RPM.
Check constant speeding. [Prop. control through full
range twice ]
At +0 lb. Boost, check mag. drop of less than 50 RPM.
Minimum rpm. for normal running is 1,000 rpm.
Brake pressure is 100 lb./sq. in. min.~ 450 lb. supply.
Oil Pressure is 100 lb./sq. in. normal ~ 80 lb. Min.
CHT is 210~300 degs. normal ~ 310 deg. Max.
Tail wheel unlocked.

TAXYING:-
Keep engine rpm. above 1,000 and Gills open.
Ensure brake pressure is above 160 lb. /sq. in.

TAKEOFF:-
Set prop to full speed. Flaps to Max Lift, Gills open 1/3
and -1.0 deg. of elevator trim.
Run up to 2,000 rpm. release brakes and increase to full
throttle.
Boost of 9 1/2 lb.(49"Hg) at 2,700 rpm. to 1,000 ft.
Take off speed is 95 ~ 100 KIAS.
Safety speed is 135 KIAS.

CLIMB:-
Climb at 1500 ~ 2000 Ft./min.
Above Safety speed, Retract flaps.
Set 2,400 rpm. at +6 1/2 lb. boost. (43"Hg)
Climb at 140 ~ 150 KIAS. To 20,000 ft. (typically)

CRUISE:-
2,000 ~ 2,400 rpm. and +3 lb. (35" Hg.) Boost.
Zero trim at 175 ~180 KIAS.

APPROACH:-
Flaps to Max Lift, Gills open, 130 KIAS.
2,400 rpm. +2 ~ 4lb. Boost. (34 ~ 38" Hg)

FINALS:-
Undercart down, Flaps full out, 95~ 100 KIAS.
2,400 rpm. +0 lb. Boost. (30" Hg)

FLARE:-
2,400 rpm. -2 lb. Boost. (26" Hg)

AFTER LANDING:-
Gills open : Run engine at 800 ~900 rpm. until
CHT is below 210 degs: Stop engine and leave Prop at Max.
flaps down and all electrics off.
