CALLOUT_SOUND.dll VERSION 3.8.2.0

by Doug Dawson

INTRODUCTION
============

This Instrument gives altidue callouts at 2500, 1000,500,400,300,200,100,50,40,30,20 and 10 Ft.

Unfortunately I have no original sound files. So I created my own sound. If you have better sound files,
rename your sound files according to the sound files in the sound folder.

Installation:
=============
-Extract all files to a temporary file.

-Create a subfolder \CALLOUT\ in the FSX\SOUND folder.

-Move all files *.Wav and the sound.ini in this folder.

-Move the files CALLOUT.CAB and CALLOUT.dll in the folder FSX\GAUGES ****IMPORTANT = DO NOT UNZIP the CALLOUT.CAB FILE************

ADD the gauges to the panel of your aircraft.
=============================================

-Make a copy of the existing panel.cfg. You will find it in the folder of your aircraft FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\ "Name of aircraft"\ panel

-Open the panel.cfg with Notepad or editor.

-Now you have to add the gauges to the main panel which is normally [window00].The gauge works only if this window is opend during flight.

-Add the following lines at the end of this part just before [Window01]with copy and paste.

gauge36=CALLOUT_SOUND!dsd_xml_sound3, 0,0,0,0, ./Sound/CALLOUT/Sound.ini
gauge38=CALLOUT!CALLOUT2500, 0,0,0,0
gauge39=CALLOUT!CALLOUT1000, 0,0,0,0
gauge40=CALLOUT!CALLOUT500, 0,0,0,0
gauge41=CALLOUT!CALLOUT400, 0,0,0,0
gauge42=CALLOUT!CALLOUT300, 0,0,0,0
gauge43=CALLOUT!CALLOUT200, 0,0,0,0
gauge44=CALLOUT!CALLOUT100, 0,0,0,0
gauge45=CALLOUT!CALLOUT50, 0,0,0,0
gauge46=CALLOUT!CALLOUT40, 0,0,0,0
gauge47=CALLOUT!CALLOUT30, 0,0,0,0
gauge48=CALLOUT!CALLOUT20, 0,0,0,0
gauge49=CALLOUT!CALLOUT10, 0,0,0,0

-Renumber the gauges.Using the next free number. The number (36 in this example) for the first added gauge should be changed to the next
succeeding number (if the last/highest entry in your panel file is 35, then you should label the new gaugeset starting with 36 like shown above )
In other cases you must take the next free number instead of the 36 and renumber all gauges accordingly.
If two gauges have the same number one of the two won´t work.

-Save the panel.cfg

Thats it,

Have fun.
