The information below, will assist you in identifying each lightstation as you progress
up the coast line, from Prince Rupert to Cape Sarichef.
In real flight, there are hundreds if not more, lights, beacons, vehicles and aircraft
that can distract a pilot. This scenery file is just a beginning to some of those items
we see when flying.
I'd recommend an altitude of 2500' along the coastline of No. British Columbia and Alaska.
Each lighthouse has been assigned a NDB at the frequency range of 801 khz. to 812 khz.
Your ADF can be tuned to one of the frequencies assigned, and the code set to respond to
the identification assigned each file. With the exception of two, all have visual ranges of 15nm.
Two of these lights have visual ranges set at 10nm due to their close proximity to airports.
Obviously, this information, frequencies, and exact locations shall not be used for real navigation. I've attempted to create each lighthouse in as close proximity to its' real counterpart given the limited resources I have at my disposal. Using the InterNet, and, Alaska Station Data Inventory has been a tremendous help.
