FS2004 Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt II, 47 TFS, 917 TFG AFRES
The Warthog, as it is known, was designed to be a rugged, simple, maneoverable plane with maximum survivality against ground fire. Its able to deliver up to 16.000 pounds of any conventional weapon in the USAF arsenal. It carries too a GAU-8A gun with a punch like none other. This is the armed version. Model by Mike Stone, repaint by Alejandro Hurtado.
When the Thunderbolt II was starting to fly, Fairchild sold it as a plane able to take a 23mm AA impact inside the wing and continue flying. I don´t beleave that it have been proved, but they said too that the plane can take a missile hit, lost one engine and one tail and get back to home. And THAT WAS demostrated on the Irak-Kwait gulf war, when I saw in the TV a Warthog landing "normally" on its base after that damage.
Searching in the web, I have not seen yet a repaint of this Mike Stone's plane on Europe One colors. May be some one will take this one and use it as a guide. If so, please put my name in the readme.txt file and file_id.diz together with Mike Stone.
The Europa One camouflage is hard do to, specially when you try to include all the details. I had to change some textures, specially the wing root and inner surface of tails and engines. Its strange, because Mike Stone is usually very carefull with this details. You must take care with the upper wing-fuselaje joints. They are colored by the LOWER wing roots. It doesn't means that I dislike this one, just means that I'm a perfectionist repainter. This is one of the hardest repaints I had made. Usually I take a week for repaint, this Warthog took me forty days. As a mather of fact, I finished the following plane in just one day. So, please, enjoy this, and my next.

A last remark: Why don't become a repainter? There are a lot of planes with special markings. I'm tired of the usual F-16 low-vis scheme, or the usual 757 in Delta markings. Why don't a "Bat's outa Hell's" B-25 or a serie of Qantas 737s? The plane modelers like Mike Stone are very important, but they can't make all the painting schemes by himselfs. So why don't help they?
Installation:
Just unzip a10ah68.zip in your "Aircraft" folder of FS2004 or FS9 and that's all.
