Spokane Area - West Side Bridges
GMAX Scenery of the I-90 bridge and Sunset Ave. bridge, west of downtown Spokane, WA USA
All created in GMAX with DXT1 textures.
For Flight Simulator COG (FS9) ONLY

All scenery is compatible with USA Roads.

REQUIREMENTS:

1) A 38m mesh of the area - designed using the mesh available from FSFreeware, but others should work also. Without this items will float or sink to the point of invisibility. I found some good free 38m mesh for the western US (including Spokane)
at http://www.SurClaro - a freebie from fsgenesis.
Available at:
http://www.SurClaro, search for this file: fsgwst38.zip It's a free file, but quite large.

2) Grand Coulee scenery ( grand_coulee.zip) by Larry Silsbee. This scenery corrects the Spokane River throughout the Spokane area. Without this, it's going to look real funny. Placement of items will appear way off.
Available at:
http://SurClaro.com and http://www.SurClaro

3) In your FS9.cfg ( x:\Documents and Settings\xxx\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9\fs9.CFG ) the Terrain Max Vertex Level must be set at 21

4) Installation of my previous scenery for Spokane. File name: spokane1.zip (or spokane2.zip at SurClaro).
Available at:
http://SurClaro.com, http://www.SurClaro, http://www.fsfreeware.com or http://.com

CONTENTS:

GMAX SCENERY (all with DXT1 textures):
1) I-90 bridge crossing the Latah creek ravine, west of downtown Spokane, WA
2) Sunset Ave. bridge crossing the Latah ravine west of downtown Spokane, WA

INSTALLATION:

1) INSTALL MY PREVIOUS SPOKANE SCENERY PACK FIRST (SPOKANE1.ZIP OR SPOKANE2.ZIP - THEY ARE THE SAME)

2) Unzip this archive WBridg.zip to a temporary folder.

After unzipping the archive, you will have 4 items:

*) A folder - WBridge (with subfolders scenery & texture)
*) readme.txt - what you're reading :-) !
*) file id.diz
*) Bridges.jpg

3) Place the CONTENTS of the scenery folder into the scenery folder of my previous scenery.

4) Place the CONTENTS of the texture folder into the texture folder of my previous scenery. (overwrite if prompted)

5) IF YOU HAVE ROADS USA:

This is NOT a requirement, but adds a lot to the realism. THe bridges line up with these accurate roads. Without it, they may appear a little off.

These are the settings I am using for USA Roads:

USA Roads - Major Roads Only
Note: If you have all road types visible, then a lot of the autogen scenery goes away - you can't have trees and buildings in the road.

No Roads Cross Water
FS2004 Color Match
Pavement - Dim
Low Density traffic
Day Texture - Brighter

6) Start Flight Sim and enjoy!

7) To see this scenery, "Create A Flight" departing Spokane International Airport ( KGEG - Spokane, WA, USA ) in your favorite aircraft and fly east towards downtown Spokane. These files will NOT add Spokane to your "Search Add-on scenery" list.
