FS2004 LAND AND WATER CLASS FOR VANUATU

This land and water class covers the Vanuatu Islands called the New
Hebrides until 1980. Both the land and water class have been
extensively modified. Towns have been moved to their correct locations. I attempted produce a land class look as close as possible to the real geography of the area using maps, photos and Google Earth.

Thirty new airports that were missing have been added to the
islands. I think that covers all of the Vanuatu airports.
I found a number of airports with Google Earth that
were not in any ICAO listing. I gave them ad hoc names: EPI, EPI1,
NVS1 and NVV1.

The airport list gives the latitude and longitude of all of the new
airports. After you add them to your AFCAD scenery files you will
find them listed on your FS9 Go To Airport window listed under
Vanuatu.

INSTALLATION:

Copy the 30 AFCAD files that are located in the AFCAD'S folder
into Flightsimulator9/Addon Scenery/Scenery folder.
Your new runways will then be installed.

Unzip the Vanuatu5 file into a temporary folder. Copy the enclosed
Vanuatu5 folder into your Flightsimulator9/Addon Scenery folder and
activate the new area in your FS2004 Scenery Library.

My FS9 system is using FSGenesis Terrain Mesh. If you are using the
original default Microsoft terrain mesh there should be no problems with the new airports or land class. If you have problems please let me know.

The modified Raw and Inf files are included so you can change the
land class if you have the proper software.

For landclass modification I used Landclass Assistant 1.4 by John
Cillis and Ez-Landclass by Russel Dirks. CellGrid2004a by Richard
Ludowise was very useful for land class correction due to slight
geographical errors in the location of the islands. I also used
Paavo Pihelgas ExcBuilder and FSTflatten created by Steve Greenwood.
