First, this is my first FS aircraft, a fictitious business jet that combines fighter like performance and docile low-speed handling for smooth landings.

This aircraft was developed with the goals of learning FSDS by Abacus. I really wanted a plane that looked like a Hawker, but would get me to my destination quick, and the VAR-125 was born.

Areas to improve: texturing, adding SDL stuff like rolling wheels, etc...

It seems to cruise best around FL400 @ M.91. I calculate range around 3500 nautical miles, but this will be refined as I explore the envelope. Takeoff can be performed with a low throttle setting. She can climb like a monkey on speed due to the excess power, so you can get to an economical altitude quick. Landing is easily performed @ 130 KTS. For fun, I like to fly NOE at speeds in excess of 700 KTS to cover a lot of scenery quick!

I hope you enjoy it, have fun. and don't take this concept too seriously!

If you wish to improve the plane, or modify (IMPROVE) the textures, drop me a line. The VAR-125 is a test bed for modification!

Hopefully this will be the first in a line of Vector AeroResearch aircraft, covering personal aviation, heavy iron, regional, and transport category aircraft.

I want to thank Nike Pick who's Concept Boeing 575 inspired me to create my own dream aircraft, and the great team who created FSDS, Aircraft Animator, SDl Edit, Freeflight Design Shop, and Daviator.com. This would not have been possible without their contributions, tutorials, and forum members.
