PROJECT OPENSKY

United Parcel Service Boeing 747-212B(SF) "Olympic Partners" For FS2000/FS2002.
N521UP 747-212B(SF) SN21944/LN510 Built 03/19/81 for Singapore Airlines as 9V-SQS. This airplane was operated by Singapore until replaced by their "Megatop" 747-400's. UPS purchased this airplane and converted it into a freighter at Wichita I believe. This one is a "B" model, which is higher gross weight version, with structrual strengthining.

This airplane was the VERY first 747 I ever seen land, and the first one I ever sat foot on!

Up until about 2000, UPS had 4 747-200's and 12 747-100's. UPS then leased four more -200's, which all have slightly different paint jobs. All of the 200's have few windows left down the side, which saves ALOT of weight when you concider 100 or so windows at 10-12lbs a piece! Beisdes, who's looking out of them anyway?!? This paintjob was applied to one 757(N466UP), a 767(N315UP), and this 747 N521UP. Im not very fond of the paintjob, but no UPS collection is complete without the olympic bird. The airplane originally had the standard brown stripe livery, until put in this paint job for the UPS Olympic sponsership of 2000. Now, the three airplanes have the titles "olympic partner" removed, so I expect to see this paint scheme dissappear as the airplanes go through major inspection.

Thanks to Bob Jones for help with the textures!
